简介

This is a walk of contrasts—much of your walk is quiet, taking you along a less-used trail through tall conifer forests hugging the northern cliff faces at the east end of Yosemite Valley. When you reach Mirror Lake, the sense of enclosure is punctuated by expansive and stunning views of Tenaya Canyon and the north face of Half Dome—and a short time later your calm is interrupted by hordes of people marching up the paved Mirror Lake Trail to swim in one of two large water holes below the lake. Take this walk early in the day to avoid the crowds. This hike can be completed any time there isn’t significant snow in Yosemite Valley.
