简介

Leveling out at less than 3200 feet, North Moat Mountain often is overlooked by those seeking to scale the forty-eight mountains that rise higher than 4000 feet in New Hampshire. While not high enough for some, North Moat’s ridges and views are far more beautiful and expansive than many of the peaks that tower above it. Along the way, encounter cascading brooks, pass imposing rock formations, climb barren ridges, and tunnel through picturesque forests. While neighboring 4000-foot mountains attract larger crowds, North Moat Mountain awaits those seeking places where the White Mountains’ quiet beauty is on display.
