简介

The Exploration Trail was completed in August 2005 as part of the Forest Service Centennial Project to celebrate the 100th birthday of the U.S. Forest Service. It parallels the Keller Peak Rd. through beautiful open oak and pine forest to the top of the road where the road meets the National Children’s Forest Interpretive Trail. For an easier trip, follow the trail in reverse, downhill all the way. While you are in the area, consider visiting the historic Keller Peak Fire Lookout where volunteer firespotters may be able to give you a tour. The Keller Peak Rd. is an excellent route for cross-country skiing when the snow level is low enough.
