You don’t have to be a fan of murder mysteries or obscure Albanian history to enjoy wandering the woods of Muttontown, not with such an appealing variety of habitats tucked into the domain. A vast network of trails and old estate lanes weaves through swampy swales, miniature savannas, a rhododendron jungle (that transforms in July into a fairyland of pale-pink blossoms), some glacial deposits, and even a few ghostly ruins. Of course, if you do have a thing for unsolved mysteries, so much the better.
