Get up close and personal with the North Shore’s ocean front at this route’s two farthest
extremities. On one end you’ll have an opportunity to stroll along a seawall and
have a wide-open meadow, Ocean Lawn, to spread out your picnic lunch overlooking
the ocean. This is where Thomas Jefferson’s great-grandson built a grand cottage
called Marble Palace. Walking to the other end, you’ll have seasonal access along
Gray Beach, an exclusive and extremely private beachfront enclave.
