Lying at the foot of Spirit Mountain, which is sacred to native tribes in the region, it’s not surprising that Grapevine Canyon offers one of the best petroglyph sites in all of Nevada, with some carvings that may be more than 1000 years old. In 2002, Congress designated nearly 8000 acres around Grapevine Canyon as the Bridge Canyon Wilderness Area (named for the next canyon south). Please treat this area with the same respect you would expect in your own place of worship. Vehicle: Passenger car.
