Fryman Canyon Park, encompassing more than 120 acres, sits on a north-facing hillside bordering Mulholland Drive. At the trailhead, the Nancy Hoover Pohl Overlook (formerly known as the Fryman Canyon Overlook) provides views across the wooded canyon to the San Fernando Valley, Santa Susana Mountains, and the San Gabriel Mountains. The Dearing Mountain Trail (also known as the Betty B. Dearing Trail) descends into the canyon, connecting Fryman Canyon Park with Coldwater Canyon Park and Wilacre Park.
