简介

Nestled in the forests of Chicagoland’s upscale North Shore, the Chicago Botanic Gardens lie on nine fertile islands surrounded by quiet lakes. This tranquil stroll encircles the lakes—providing one-of-a-kind views of the islands—but also features easy access points to the twenty-three display gardens across the water via land bridges. When Chicago’s founders decided on a motto for the city, “Urbs in Horto” (City in a Garden), these 300 acres are surely what they had in mind.
