Situated on 700 acres in the heart of Westchester County, Saxon Woods Park offers dogs and their owners an opportunity to experience nature amid a busy area. Named for William Saxon, who operated a sawmill on the west branch of the Mamaroneck River in colonial times, Saxon Woods is split into two sections. Primarily dedicated to hiking trails, the park’s southern section offers human and canine hikers and runners an easy hike across gentle terrain.
