简介
A short walk through coastal forest and wetlands on the western shore of Delaware Bay. A great hike for birders. Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge —8,817 acres of fresh and tidal marsh, upland forest, and croplands on the shores of the Delaware Bay —is home to a wonderful array of birds, mammals, and reptiles and is an important stopover for migrating waterfowl. On an easy 1.5-mile stroll on the Refuge Loop, you can see fine examples of each of the coastal habitats as well as of the area’s abundant wildlife. Special considerations: Mosquitoes in late spring and summer make the Refuge Loop a true October-to-April trail. In any season, bring binoculars for birding.
