You’d certainly be hard-pressed to find a more iconic urban hike than Boston’s Freedom
Trail. If you have the time to explore all the historic sites along this route, you can
easily spend an entire day, but perhaps a weekend is more realistic if you want the full
experience of stopping for lunch at one of the many authentic Italian restaurants in
the North End and exploring the Charles River waterfront surrounding the USS Constitution,
aka Old Ironsides.
