简介

This is a short, scenic hike through State Game Lands 187 and the undeveloped 2,981-acre Nescopeck State Park. The trail takes you to two beaver dams and Nescopeck Lake. The recreational lake was created for a housing development in the early 1970s and was acquired by the state in 1990; there are still a few occupied homes near the lake. There are plans to develop Nescopeck into an environmental center and campground. For now, the park is managed by the State Game Commission. The trail is not blazed, but it is fairly easy to follow on wide, grassy woods roads and lake and pond loop trails. Interesting features: Two beaver ponds, Lake Nescopeck. Surface: Grassy woods road, rocky trail.
